Dear Families,
The Provincial Health Officer is calling for social distancing to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and making one another sick. Let’s all do our part so that we can be back at school and out in the community as soon as possible!
Some of you might have some questions about what is and is not ok during this period of social distancing. Here is an informative info graphic regarding social distancing.
I know it can be hard to feel trapped at home and both kids and parents can start to feel isolated. Here are a few simple ideas to keep your family engaged and positive in this time of unpredictability.
- Good hikes for kids: Swan Lake, Rithets Bog, Francis King, Tod Inlet, Mt Tolmie, Panama Flats, or Gowlland Tod Park are all perfect for little legs.
- Board Games and puzzles – a great activity for young and old. Set up your own ‘Board Game Cafe’, delicious snacks and all.
- Tune in to story time with Oliver Jeffers for some downtime indoors. Click this link to find it: https://www.instagram.com/oliverjeffers/?hl=en
- Have a virtual get together with friends via Facetime or Skype
Comment below how you are taking care of yourselves!
Remember to check on your neighbours and don’t forget to wash your hands!
Sincerely,
Miss Christine
Vice Principal
